Just wondering on what peoples thoughts are on compressed pine bricks. I can get a pallet (1920 Lbs.) for $200 + $50 delivery. My only concern is that they are softwood. Will I still get enough heat? Are they really comparable to a cord of hardwood? Does a pallet actually last as well as a cord of wood?

you might want to look in the hearth room or the boiler room, there have been threads about this with people with experience.

Moderator, move this thread to the hearth room please.... :cheese:
