In the twenties since sundown. 24 at 11 o'clock headed for the teens. We are getting a taste of how this winter stuff works. No sleeping in tomorrow morning. Reload time!

The 30 is rolling. Only regret is not waiting until 11 to do the night load. 79 downstairs and 72 upstairs. Put the load in at nine like usual. Damn, can't sleep till nine tomorrow. Have to get up early like normal humans do.

But these are the nights when I remember those drafts that I swear every January I am gonna fix this summer. And never do.

Brrrr. We're hanging out in the balmy mid twenties tonight. No snow in sight

Stupid cold here...at least 20°F below historical norms. 20°F's daytime, single digits overnight. This morning was ~5°F. I need a place down south somewhere to spend my winters. H-m-m-m >>

Scoff, scoff......

Ahem (clearing throat)...... Weather temps like that are kind of normal for us.

Load on a bed of coals and you'll still be warm in the a.m.

:)

34° here at 1130 pm.
To start getting colder next week.
Have been burning spruce during this warm spell.

Holy cow!! I thought that being a Mod, you never slept!! Then you admit to sleeping late, too???

Worst part of it all is to here you complain about the cold temps of maybe into the teens!

Is this the Bart we all know, or is someone else posting trying to make him appear as a softie?

Always have been a softie. The other guy is my evil twin. >> The pain in the butt is the sunny days in the forties then the drop to the teens. Rinse and repeat.

I'll take sunny days in the forties...

Not yet! It needs to stay cold so the damn mud doesn't come back. I want it to go cold, cold, cold, 70, 70, 70, outside.

No in between!

its so cold here that I had to put on socks that rise above my ankles! bundle up people.

Oh bring the housekeeper! Solves my problems. It's chilly here though, which doesn't solve yours.

;lol Well, she and I get along just fine, so far as our 1/month encounters go (she does her job, I write her a check, we chat a bit)...but I seriously doubt she's ready to move across the country (or anywhere else) with me. She's from Hawaii, and that would make her annual trips to visit family all the more expensive. I'm sure that's the only reason she'd laugh at me, though. ;lol;lol

To get this back on track *cough - subtle, like *

WI in January, been there, done that. 10 years ago. God, it was COLD . Ended up buying Da Dix. I'd do it again.

I don't envy you, Shari.

Speaking of grout, Martha just went away for a few days and asked me to look at (fix) the shower stall....seems she is always worried about a bit of mildew and discoloration.

So far I have spent about 10 hours and it will be 13 before I finish.
Fine detail work with cleaning that grout, the PVC "wood", the caulking, the thresholds, painting (the ceiling and trim in there), etc.....

Funny thing, it probably won't meet her specs when she returns....
