I have a MTD log splitter and just got a good deal on a pick up lift with winch from Harbor Freight. I am looking for ideas and pictures of the 2 used together. Thank you for any advice.

I also have both a splitter and a cable winch pickup lift. I have never really used them together in any special way. My splitter is a convertible horizontal/vertical model, so the really big rounds I just let down to ground level and roll over to the vertical splitter. If you only had a horizontal splitter you could probably back up to it and let the big rounds down to the level of the splitter and roll them on.

Over time I had to do some modifications to my lift. The winch that it came with kept giving me problems with its lift limit control, so I eventually discarded it and installed a small ATV winch that seems to be trouble free. I also installed the two main braces underneath with the open area pointed down rather than up so as to prevent them from filling up with trash.
