Lopi w/ boiler???

I am looking to purchase a stove I found on CL. It is a Lopi SL ICBO 4002 serial number 26487 with water pipes inside and attachments outside. I cannot find anyting on it anywhere. I currently have a Cemi Concept II and it is a great insert to heat the 2200 sq ft house, but the down fall is that I cannot connect it to a liner due to the design. That means each year we have to take it out to clean the chinmey. I have attached pictures of what this looks like. I would like to know if it can heat the house and what I have to do to make it work. I also am looking at 2 other Lopi inserts. Both are the model "X", one has plain glass doors and the other etched doors. Price is a factor that is why I am going used. If I could find a big enough one on sale or clearance at a good price I would go that direction.

Any and all advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I'm totally no expert, but the money you'll spend safely hooking that up to your hot water system should easily eclipse any money saved.

Sorry I forgot to mention, I do not want to use the boiler and can I take it out?

Not sure what the price is, but considering it will need a lot of work to remove the coil and minimally replace firebrick and gaskets, I would probably pass on this one.

What about the other Lopi X models? Here are the pics for them. Also there is a steel one from Northern Tool, but from research I have done this would not be a good stove and I should stick to the cast iron ones, correct? Any ideas on where I can find really good deals on new ones our other places to search for old ones? Thank you everyone again for the help I am feeling list and overwhelmed.

Not sure where you read negative reviews on steel stoves. I believe they have generally become the norm with newer EPA certified models. You may have better luck searching for advice over in the stove forum (The Hearth Room). Not that I'm trying to turn you away, just that I don't think that most of the members hanging around here (speaking for myself) are that up to speed on stoves/inserts.

I might not be correct on the word usage but what I want is something to fit into my existing fireplace hook up to a chimney liner and heat the entire house and not have to remove it every year to clean

Yep, you are looking for an "insert". You may also find a free standing stove that would fit within the fireplace opening, but inserts are made to fill the entire fireplace cavity.

You really should be asking this in the hearth forum. You'll get plenty of answers. Of course, I really like my insert, but you're not gonna save money on that one.
