Stove is a month old and my auger is squeaking. I've read on this forum that this is a common issue and it can be lubed. I did not receive lube with my stove...

What do you folks use for lubricant and where do you apply it?

I use High Temp Never seize but there are other High Temp greases available
at an auto parts store that they use for brakes. You would put it on the smooth
end of the auger not the toothed end.

My auger is quiet. except for the motor turning which gives off a low hum.

I do get noise from the agitator. which is the rod across the burn pot that turns occasionally to break up the clinkers. As recommended here on hearth.com, I now use high temp anti seize from the auto store. Put some on the left side end.

More importantly, why am I writing this at midnight? I wish I could quit this board!
