In The Woods
Mother Nature put this down on May 23, I have a little more work bucking (pic 7529) then I'm ready to start splitting.

Where it split from the main trunk was the worst but we'll still get some nice firewood from this.

This was blocking the trail so that is opened up.

Isn't it amazing how so many will fall and right over the trail! Why is that tree marked zap?

First picture.

Ha! I just realized it might be the date and just looks like it was marked. :(

I have three more areas that need opening up, one is a White Pine blocking the trail from 2 years ago, the other is the big hill which runs the length of the brook, the third is all the Hemlock blocking the trail on the southeast side of the brook.

Since the windstorm on May 23, those trails remained blocked. I still need to check it (the brook hill) once I get the Cherry & Pine cleared out of there. By then we'll have another storm!

The second of three old maple from up top went under the MTD 20 Ton today, worked from 9 - 1.

Running this up the trail I put the pine down on worked out great.
