My commercial drywall supplier told me he would sell me a 4x8 sheet of 1/2" Micore 160 for 33 bucks. I know its hard to find locally but for those looking , here is a price point for comparison.

I also got a 4x8 sheet of 5/8" from a national chain drywall supplier for $42. It took a while to get it because they had to put on a truck at the warehouse with their bi-weekly supply run. You can go to the manufacturers website to find a supplier.
