Very nice, and very true. I like reminiscing when it's the middle of winter and a particular split (and oddball one or such) pops up when hauling wood out of the stacks and into the basement....sometimes I can remember to a TEE the weather that day, and the hard work of cutting that particular tree down.....Thanks. Yes I do. It's the anal retentive part of the engineer in me. I have to label the two racks in the first picture yet, but I just got done stacking the elm one today. It's just kind of fun to remember back where they came from. Gives me pause to appreciate those who let me scrounge their land.
Sorry, I get a little emotional when talking about my woodstack!

There is one thing that would make those racks better; Some high-output wood. I don't think it is all shoulder season in IA, is it?
Light grip is definitely helpful at impact. Thing is awesome, though. Schlot is tearing up Elm with it, if that tells you anything.... ![[Hearth.com] My wood racks at my house [Hearth.com] My wood racks at my house](https://www.hearth.com/talk/data/attachments/108/108432-d26a8aa597d8b818c2d4dbfe73c71996.jpg?hash=ZCtlwm666t)
