The 30 doesnt come with any kind of grate. If there is a grate in there he put it in himself. Also If you have to load the stove every 20 minutes you must have green wood.
Yes, he put the grate in it. I assumed this was part of his "trick" to running the stove. And yes, his wood was green. Had several rounds dumped in the front yard he was splitting before bringing in to burn.
I agree with Charles 1981, I'm about done trying to put people on the right path. Most would rather curse the stove and lose money than to ever admit they were wrong.
I bet he never even read one word in the manual
) and he went on to tell me all new stoves suck, they don't burn worth a damn. Said we're lucky our stoves are a older and still produce heat. My stove is two years old, BOTH of his are 3 year old stoves.....
I heard everything from "what a waist of money, it's illegal to burn wood anymore!" to "the problem with catalytic stoves is that they must be replaced every 5 - 7 years." For those that are wondering, that comment was made by a dealer and NO he was not talking about the catalyst. He told me straight faced that the ENTIRE insert will only last 5 - 7 years
