Hey all,
New here and new to pellets..
Sick of high propane prices so i'm looking to purchase a refurbed 55-TRREP
from AM FM.
980sq well insulated ranch home..

Thanks !
Tom

What is this appliance you're talking about? I've tried searching for AM FM 55-TRREP, and I've gotten nowhere with that.

If it's a pellet stove, we're in the wrong forum here. I can take care of that easily, but I need to know where your query belongs. Welcome! Rick

It is a Summers Heat (Englander) pellet stove.

Moving this over to the pellet room.

AM FM is a great company to do business with. Many members here have bought stoves from them and I don't remember any complaints.

The stoves are refurbed right at Englander by Mike Holton & his tech crew, then drop shipped direct to you. They come with original 1 yr warranty and new OAK.

Mike is a member here and is available a lot of time to help with problems, plus their regular customer service phone line. Best customer service in the stove industry.

The EP is the evolution series. They make it in a freestanding and inser version. Has bay glass, uses a drop feed system (as opposed to it's cousins which are horizontal feed) and is available under the Englander, Summers Heat and Timber Ridge brand names. AM/FM sells the Timber Ridge brand and the AM/FM site is the way England Stove Works sells direct. Englander is Home Depot, Summers Heat is Lowes.

The stove is great. Can be used with a regular household thermostat for complete on/off and hi/low operation. Requires outside air MANDATORY.

Welcome and enjoy

Welcome to the funny farm Trapshooter.

I see some of the critters on here have already provided some entertainment.

always nice to meet a new member of the ESW family, the EP series is becoming quite a popular stove for us. she'll do a 1K sq ft home pretty proud unless you can see through the walls. you shouldn't have that issue with a well insulated home of that size, you actually may be shopping for a thermostat for her if you are well insulated, look for one with a 2-3 degree "swing" temp. in that small a dwelling if well insulated she may have you down to "skivvies" pretty quick, so you might want a stat should you wish to entertain friends ;). the "swing" temp takes some pressure off the igniter while allowing a steady tem like you get from a central system.

I know. I can't even guess why they used that name. It would be interesting to know.

Andy Mays is the owner his wife's name is Fay hence "am-fm" both are long time friends of mine and great people to be around

Skivvies, "swing" settings.... Are you selling stoves or running some kind of middle class brothel...?

Ended up buying a 2 yr old quadrafire CB 1200 for $1200 for the stove and vent pipe

Good for you, nice stove. Remember pictures or it did not happen. :)
