My son has an old smoke dragon with an exterior (side of house) insulated chimney-with an 8” flue. He wants a modern stove with a glass door. Do you think it would be possible to get a 6” liner in there (it has a 90 degree adaptor where in enters the basement). Or, would it work just connecting the new stove to the 8” flue with a stovepipe adaptor?

How big is the space he's heating, if he's greater than 2000 sq ft he might want to look into a larger stove that has an 8" outlet, like a Kuma or a BK king.

It’s only about 1000 sq ft and he only burns it in the evenings while watching tv
