Just put my newly built off-patio cart into service. It holds ~25 cu ft. Its covered by 26" eaves and sits well off the deck its on. I had it out filled during this past rain and it did get a little wet at the top, I'll need to cover the top with something.

Looks nice......

Sweet. Not "tippy" at all?

Its pretty solid, 2x4 base with 3" casters. Snowed last night and only had light blowing snow on it. I know its location won't keep off blowing snow in a proper storm. I usually stage 4/5 bins inside before a storm.

how far away is the main wood pile? can you run it between the house and pile? nice job.

Thanks. Its about 40-50' away. But the wheels on there now would make it tough if not impossible. Plus some of the stacks are awkward to access, so throwing the splits into the cart and driving them over is easier.

well, i just refilled the cart since the first time, lasted 17 days, not bad. i'm down to ~2 more cart loads before I'm out burnable wood. Gettin' 100 NIELS sometime this week to mix in with the wood I have left.

Nice design... I like that it matches the siding! it would be too small for our needs but being able to move it is a big plus for sure.

Thanks. I originally made it to fit under the stairs going down to the basement. But it became painfully evident that bringing up bins of wood up from the basement was way too hard. I am planning to make wooden frame with 4ml plastic inside to cover the top and 3 down in the front. If a storm is coming, I'll just wheel into the patio.

Well made and good looking cart.

Added an umbrella for the cart, seems to be working well. I was thinking of adding a panel for the front, but may not need one.

I'm going to use this basic idea to cover my stacks. Two 2x2's with plastic sheeting stapled hung over the stack. I can pre-drill a few holes and fastened to a beefy split on each side. Besides, clear sheeting looks better than blue tarps.

a section of roofing tin would look even snazzier and be more durable. Nice idea. I could use that in my basement where I 'chute' downstairs into pile then move to staging area. Could load right onto one of those and wheel to in front of boiler. Thanks for the post.

It does look really nice. I would just put some kind of ridge in it so that it's not going to collect and pool water.

Thanks. I thought the support in the middle standing proud would be enough, I did see water dripping off the sides okay, but some water is pooling.
