Been lurking on these forums for some time researching and finally settled on a Harman P68. I'll be heating from my basement which is where we spend most of our time. It will supplement our propane heating during those cold days here in eastern Ontario. My home is approximately 3000 square feet, raised ranch.

Got the stove for 3995. 300 for the duravent and 600 for the install. Best price in the area.

I also got my pellets today. 4.5 tons of cubex hardwood pellets @ 275 a ton.

Thanks to everyone in this forum. I've learned a ton from you guys.

Good luck on the new Harman. It should be your new best friend this winter. Don't now what part of Canada your hailing from but supposed to get a bit of artic weather latter this week to possibly try it out.

Ottawa. Yes I noticed that. Bring it on. Should hit us next weekend from what I can see from the long term forecast.

You'll love the stove... A really great product with amazing heat output potential, backed up by a superlative manufacturer!

What is the manufacture date of your stove? The newest production uses the following hopper extension part number - 1-00-06489, if interested.

Congrats, always exciting getting a new stove

Where would you find this?

Your Harman dealer should sell them... Just confirm they order the correct hopper for your manufacture date/serial number. I did a search online and could not find much with this new part number.

My May 2012 P68 was replaced a couple of weeks ago with a new P68 manufactured March 2014. The hopper extension for my older stove does not fit on the new stove (quantity of attachments, attachment placement, etc). It took 6+ emails to my dealer/HHT for acknowledgement of the problem. HHT finally confirmed the new hopper part number (listed earlier). I'm waiting for an exchange.
