Just purchased my first pellet stove and new to burning in general. I purchased 1 ton of Newp and I am in the process of trying all different types. I have Corinth softwood, easy blaze, turmans, awf pines, cannawicks, energex, and energy logs aka north Idaho woods. I am finding easy blaze and energy logs to burn very hot in my stove, more so than the hardwoods I have tried. I have a winslow pi40 insert and it works great. What else should I try for my stove? Any recommendations will help.

Wow you sure have a diversity of pellets, burn what you can buy and is the hottest for you

I have been burning pellets for over 10 years. I switched to softies last season and never going back to hardwoods. They produce more heat with less ash. Open up the combustion air to maximum when burning softies. Last year, LG granules was a good all around pellet, with OK ash content. I also used Cleanfire paciifics twrrific heat. This season Okies gold and honestly best pellet I have ever burned! My shoulder pellet this year are Fireside Ultras. LaCrete's are also very good.
