We're new burners and I'm thinking ahead to spring and getting cordwood seasoned for next year. Our problem is we live in the woods. There are virtually no sunny spots in our yard. Worse yet, it is very humid here in the summer. We typically get lots of rain. Think rainforest conditions: wild ferns and moss everywhere.

I'm worried about getting our wood dry. We have space to stack, so will be able to get airflow around the wood, just no sunlight.

Suggestions?

Stack as loose as possible.

Stack on pallets, single rows, cover the top with plywood or something rigid, weed whack the weeds.
Air more important than sun.
