Indeed.
When that plant opened there was a huge amount of (negative) press that was on repeat in the right wing press for years.
And it was discussed here endlessly as evidence that solar doesn't work. Consider it the Cybertruck of solar... Ugly, Expensive, and doesn't work very well. But the Cybertruck doesn't mean EVs don't work.
It was an experiment that 'worked', but not nearly well enough to compete with real solar.... PV.
