Ok since it's almost 20 years old, even though it looks like it's been well cared for i think i personally would not really expect it to still be warranted.
The Dealer and PE response is not great that's for sure, but at this point i'd be looking at handling that repair myself even though i don't weld. I could forge weld it probably if it only could get on the anvil. Ha.

Is the lifetime warranty on the entire stove? or just certain parts?
And i bet there must be exclusions like overfire?
Yes i agree if you market as "lifetime" than you should honor that.
I don't know how anyone could actually offer a lifetime warranty in good faith.
I was just saying i would be disappointed but the hassle factor would get me to just get it fixed on my own.
And i would most likely not buy a new or used stove from them in the future if that happened to me.
This came up many years ago. It's a limited lifetime warranty of 10 yrs.

I believe they changed the wording of the warranty in 2016 to this 10 year. This is my warranty paperwork from when I purchased the woodstove. No where does it mention 10 year lifetime warranty. This lifetime warranty covers specific parts which includes the firebox, which they can repair, replace or refund wholesale price of the part.

I would say that if PE inspected the stove and found some sort of misuse or abuse then that would be good to not cover the warranty.
I could have a 20 year old stove installed in a second home and use it a couple times a year, and in 20 years it’s starts showing the manufacturer defects that a person would find in 1-3 years of full time use. I guess my point is, they should really inspect the stove not so much the age with a lifetime warranty
As noted, this came up years ago. I suspect that is when PE got the request from dealers for clarification. It's going to be up to your dealer. Some will go to bat, some will not. At best, they may just pay for re-welding.
