I am considering installing a pellet stove (Enviro Mini or Jamestown) to go along with my wood stove. Is there a maximum vertical length that a pellet stoves flue can be? The stove would be in a room with high ceilings (around 14ft). The total vertical run, including outside would be roughly 20ft. Is this too long for a pellet stove flue? The majority of the run would be indoors (is black stovepipe acceptable for the indoor portion?) Thanks.

As long as there are not a lot of elbows included in the install, you should be fine. For example, if the set-up (3" pipe) was an appliance adapter out the back of the stove into a cleanout-T, then straight up 20', your EVL would be 15. If there are any more bends, your EVL would exceed the max for 3" (15), and you should switch to 4" pipe.

If this stove uses 4" to begin with, you should be fine, even with an extra bend or 2.
