will you be using the ecobee on a two wire tstat? if so it won't work. i called tech support for a customer and the guy just would not say it's not compatible. kept saying it is because i could run a visible wire along a wall to the nearest plug and install a transformer. dense this guy was. i guess ecobee does not have a power robbing thermostat. there has to be a third wire that is a common.

I installed the 1st version Ecobee Thermostat a few years ago on a Hampton GC-60 FS pellet stove. It had a base module we mounted on the wall near the floor and close to the wall outlet to plug in an AC transformer then we ran the wires up the wall in a Channel to the head which was the T-Stat Control. There were 2 wires from the base unit we ran along the baseboard to the pellet stove. The amount of features was very impressive! I really like Ecobee! It can be controlled with a smartphone app!

Got the Iris T-Stats working on Samsung SmartThings!
Just got one of the iris webcams working with iSpy Software!!! So maybe with Blue Iris next??
