have to reseal rear flue exit on dovre 400.is it possible to use a gasket instead of cement,wich it has now.thx

Thin gasket might work. Stove shops would have or perhaps online. I bought that kind once and it had a sticky strip on one side. I’m guessing putting it in gently with a flathead screwdriver would be good.

Is the opening round or square? If round, I don't think a flat gasket would work. It would kink trying to make the radius. You could probably cut one out of ceramic fiber. It would need a precisely cut, thin, round, high-temp gasket. I'd just use the cement.
