Hello

I really like how easy this stove is setup for servicing! 2 bolts on the auger frame and it pulls out! After you bail out all the pellets in the hopper of course! See yellow arrows in pics below.

This is what I was thinking
1. Brush out the Auger Tube with a a large nylon brush
2. Then spray inside of tube with Spray Graphite
3. Check Flame Height adjustment blocking plate for proper setting.
Looks like this one is all the way down! Is this correct?
The flame looks good on high.
4. Clean and wire brush rust off auger
5. Spray dry lube under rubber auger gasket so auger turns well in auger mounting bracket.
6. Put drop of 3-1 oil on auger shaft where it meets the collar with the set screw that holds the auger motor on to the auger shaft. (No Pic for this)
7. Put a drop of 3-1 oil in the hole on top of the auger motor for shaft lubrication
8. Put back in chute and run it with AC test cord to work in lube.

You should always run the motor outside of the tube and check for proper rotation....doen't happen mcuh but Quad auger motors are designed to run backwards to free up an auger jam. To test it, hold the auger spring as it rotates and the motor should start spinning backwards for a short time then reverse back to proper rotation.

Good idea Scott, This quad motor does have the 3rd wire and the capacitor to reverse direction. In fact when something goes wrong it is usually the capacitor. OEM $15 from a quad dealer. Correct?
