Hello,
I have a standard firebox (attached pictures of the original system which I still have) and would like to replace it with fire brick or stones while keeping the rest of the system intact.
Are there any standard guidelines for this?

Also, If anyone has any recommendations for stone or brick backing please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your time.

Do you mean replace the face of the fireplace or replace the firebox

If the goal is to replace the existing zero clearance fireplace with a masonry fireplace the answer is that nothing would be saveable and there would need to be a substantial foundation for the weight of the masonry.
