Hello all,

*FIRST POST* I searched for similar topics but didn't see anyting. 🔎

I am in the process of purchasing a house and I'm not a huge fan of the existing fireplace. I was wondering if anyone had experience with units like the one pictured. I am unsure what is direclty behind the wall where the fireplace is, so I don't know if there is room to recess it further. Ideally, I would like to make the entire thing flush because the room is very small to begin with, but I would settle for re-designing the existing unit, possibly less footprint. I am also unsure if the flooring is complete under the unit. Any suggesions or direction on possible options would be greatly appreciated.

I should have more information in a week or two.
