Saw the legend in concert a few years ago. Stated back then "that I better go" because he is not gonna be around forever. Fantastic man.

RIP Beale street Boy.

My daughter is doing a general lib course on music history ... BB King is one of the musicians to be studied. Some of the names she rattled off the other day brought back some good music memories:)

No logic to it. Never could stand the blues but loved BB King's stuff.

Heard an interview bit today about his busking days that mentioned he got kind words when singing gospel songs; money when he played the blues==c

Saw BB in concert here a few years back - pure class. There's a lot of stuff that falls in the "blues" genre that I don't care a lot for. BB King's work is not in that mix. He was the blues. Farewell and RIP to a legend...

As a kid guitar player, I was working on my tremelo. One of my pals came over, watched me, and said, "not like that, like THIS" and did that wrist thing BB had. My young brain thought "that ain't possible". After a lot of effort over a lot of time, I began to get it. Not like Him, of course, but I had my instructions...

What a singer. What soul. With so many of these greats, you should check out their young stuff when their voices were pristine.
