Blaze King King

I'm looking at buying and restoring an older King King. Can someone tell me about the KEJ-1107 compared to the earlier 1101 and 1102 models.

Is it worth holding out for a 1107 since I'm not in a hurry?

1101=oval, horizontal cat placement. Oval cats getting harder to obtain. No parts available.

1102=Sliding, non gasketed bypass plate. Not as clean burning due to no gasket, but very reliable. No parts available. First vertically integrated cat, very solid performance. Cat readily available online.

1107=Cantalever bypass, gasketed and adjustable tension. Very clean burning, more efficient (4%) than 1102. No mechanical parts available. Last made prior to 2015.

KE 40=Current production model.

Thanks for that info. I've been trying to find pictures of the 1102 bypass to see how they keep a good seal with the expansion and contraction of steel. I was also reading that the air system on the 1101 is difficult to access and of course those stoves are very old.
