I just a acquired a used 1980 Russo #2 wood/coal combination stove and in

1) in another post a gentleman stated the coal basket that is referenced on the stove information plate is in fact defined by " The basket was formed by refractory. " .... on my stove it
has the custom side angled refractory... which I am assuming comprises the coal basket ? any clarification would be appreciated

2) this same refractory material is intact but appears that it may
at some point need to be repaired ... The questions are
A) what material is used in that "custom refractory " ?

3) Additionally one of the firebricks in the back are broken - though it is
still in place I should probably replace it ... is there a particular make
or style of firebrick that I should seek out that should be used for this
application ?

4) Does anyone have the manual for this stove ?

5) There appears to be no baffle built into this stove ? is a flapper in the chimney pipe immediately after the stove the only recourse ?

any information would be greatly appreciated
