City came past and cut down this double trunk ash tree that was on the easement in my front yard (far tree in the first pic) I asked them to leave the wood and now I'm cutting splitting stacking

better than cherry and just a tiny notch below red oak (though oak takes sooooo long to season and ash dries FAST).

Bocefus I'm not too far from your- I'm in Muncie. I have a good supply of 2 yr seasoned wood that I've been burning so far, but I tried a few pieces of that ash just to see how it burns and I'm pretty surprised how well it burns only having been seasoned over the summer. I guess that's why when someone is low on wood everybody tells them to go find some ash.
