Security Chimneys International Compatibility

Are there any other pipe types that are compatible with Security Chimneys International?

I currently have 6" Dual wall, 2" Clearance pipe I would like to extend.

I have some GSW that looks like it almost fits, but not quite.

As with most I think interchangeability would be a questionable thing. I am running Security right now mainly for one reason-it was free. I a buddy of mine bought a house removed the wood stove and chimney and I was lucky enough to pick the chimney up for free. A few years later I was working at a lumber yard that discontinued that line and I picked up all the extra parts that I needed for the future installation in my house...also free. Nobody can tell me it doesn't pay to be a pack rat!

I have a Security chimney - I bought it this year at the local stove shop. I think they might only be sold in Canada or with very limited US distribution? Where are you? Maybe you could order it online from a Canadian shop? There is a dealer locator on their website: http://www.securitychimneys.com/locate/ but that doesn't even find my local shop - might be worth sending them an email via the email address on their website.

I would stick with the brand that you have for the entire run for safety's sake.

It is generally advised not to mix pipe brands. You want a solid, correct fitting and locking seal between pieces.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping that there was some interconnectivity with some of the brands? I def don't want to mix and match when it comes to my family's safety!
