beautiful backyard, I'm a bit jealous here. You sitting on 2 acres?

Thank you very much. 1.6 acres. I built the house with my father in 1994. Took me twenty years to "negotiate" with the boss for an insert, and last year she finally caved.

Good work and nice pics. Looks like you have a nice open lot and good conditions for drying.

Thanks.....I'm trying to get positioned a few years ahead, as last year was my first burning. Consistent theme here to get 3 to 4 years ahead. Lots of good old fashioned work.

X2. Lots of open space and sunshine! I bet when you send a pic of those trees in a little bit we will get to see some great fall colours!?

Thanks Cascade......I built this with dad in 1994. The back of the house faces south, which my wife and I love!

Good view I hope. I was a bit surprised to see your location as New Haven. The setting and lot size don't fit with its overall image. But, I never expected to learn of a pecan tree growing in Hartford either.

I'm wondering if you're splitting by hand? What kind of stove you have, neighbor ?

P.S.: You can put your equipment and stove in your signature so we know you better;)

That is one impressive woodpile. I'd be so proud of that, I would have to step outside at least twice a day, just to look at it.
