I Don't Under stand You Question . . .
Your stove is set up to burn coal. But you are burning wood. It would work much better if it were set up for use with wood. I have had many customers burn wood in stoves set up like yours and it never works as well as it should.

Shaker Grate is Tits ! ( I Do Not Rely on to - Heat Home - ) mostly when Weather gets Bad and Back up - which also Today seems to be More Important > . . < I have Parts - I'll have to take Look . . for 5%
I'm Doing Basement Insulation - that's 15% & 18 Windows that's 25% on 50yr Building - where I had to Diamond Cut Brick all around Rough Openings ( as those were just That " Too Darn Rough " )

Builders in South are Poor & Most Home Being Built back then were After - War Time & 60's & 70's Boom

Believe Me when I say ( Piss Poor ) - If there are 5 Good Builders in this Area they are all Tied Up for Next 1yr Min.
Rest are Hacks - show them a Real Contract ~ They Run or Hit ya with Number that's Like

Back then Building Standards were Poor & Codes , Haaa I have to LOL Loudly as They tell ya I Built to Code ..
Got Big New for ya Then I Build 2X above Beyond Code . .

Put this shed together over the past few weeks. This will be used to store the firewood for the current burning season. It replaces the wood I used to store under our deck. Last summer my wife encountered a rattle snake on the deck so we made the decision to not store wood under there anymore.

This was built from pallets that I acquired from a local solar panel company. The pallets are made out of 2x6s, really heavy/sturdy.

Each bay holds about 2 1/4 cord. So all together it will hold just about 6 3/4 cords.
