single wall to double wall adaptor

hello and thanks for the help so far
i have buck stove 27000 and it has the big buck stack 8"
the pipe in place is double wall 8" inner outer is 12"
has anyone used a adaptor to go from buckstack to double wall?

This sounds like old air-cooled chimney pipe which may not be approved for use with a woodstove. Was this leftover from an old ZC fireplace installation?

why wouldnt it be approved? the 8" is stainless and ant the outer being 12" gives plenty of clearance

That is simply 2" of air space. Not really that much protection at all

It's rated at a lower tested temp of 1700º. It needs a 2100º high temp rating for a wood stove.
