After much research and advice received on this forum, I decided on the Super 27 for my new house.

The installers are almost done, they just need to penetrate the roof with the chimney. As soon as the weather cooperates, they will finish the job.

Here is the job so far.

Congratulations. Won't be long now. Why the big hearth pad on a concrete floor?

Eventually the basement will be finished, so I went ahead and put the pad down now. I will eventually build an alcove around the stove, and tile it, so it was easier to have the pad in place. It is big because the smaller size would not meet clearance for an alcove installation. Also, I like the look of it.

Good planning. Enjoy the new stove, it's a great performer.

Thanks. Most of the planning I owe directly to this forum. Thanks to everyone!
