Hey guys.
I have to extend my pipe support bracket for my through the wall set up about 8 inches to accommodate the 18" selkirk through the wall pipe and T. My question is, can I use 1/4" x 2" bar to weld up a support extension or should it be thicker bar stock? I've got to support the T, 4 - 48" pipe pieces and the cap. The Selkirk T support bracket is thinner than 1/4" so I hope 1/4" thick is enough. Suggestions ? Thoughts? PS. This is all 6" pipe. UT series.

This is what I have so far. I'll need to use the 18" pipe as the included 12" won't get me legal pipe stack clearance or clear my 4" overhang from the roof.

If welding up custom, I think I would use angle iron in a triangle frame to provide a rigid base for the tee.

Or block out for an extendable bracket. Duratech makes these solutions.
