The whole Oxygen thing is hard to overcome there though.

Yeah, it'd be HELL to find any deadfalls that you could cut and split yourself up there on Mars. You'd probably have to rely on a firewood dealer and we all know how reliable their "seasoned" wood is......

43, but this is still late winter on Mars where the rover is. Summer looks like it could be t-shirt weather. Still, you'd want a really good stove for the evenings.

From what I've read the surface ground temp at the mars equator in it summer can hit 70F. But thats at ground level and the air is so thin that at the height of humans head it could be only freezing at the same time. And then like begreen pointed out it gets very cold at night.
