Actually, I'm thinking if it really is Red Oak, I won't use it for firewood at all. Instead, if it's worth it, I'll have it saw milled up and then put it up somewhere to make something years from now or sell it or give it to my woodworking neighbor for him to make something.

Are Red Oak planks 2" thick worth anything?
