Lol, the white is snow covered ice...we don't have sand, we have a stone beach :D

Believe me, standing down there it was probably about -10 windchill.
 
It's actually been a pretty normal winter here so far... just been so many years since we have had a "normal" winter that everyone forgot haha.
 
Just opened my basement door to about 30 inches of snow to shovel between the house and wood shed. Evidently the direction I built my house the wind likes to deposit snow right there.
 
I had to shovel a path for the wheel-barrel to bring in my load of wood today. Also shoveled a path for the dog to do his business ;)
 
These cold waves are bad enough; Glad we're not getting much snow. <>
 
As a snowboarder I love the snow. But the constant sub-10° weather makes it hard to get out. Not to mention the rapidly depleting wood stack. It makes it hard to enjoy the snow.
At least the dogs are loving it. And loving knocking show into my nicely shoveled path.
