Started the stove last night around 6.45pm. Ran it untill 8.30 pm when i had loaded it up to 3/4 full. Got the cat engaged and went to sleep. Woke up to a nice warm house at 6am and the stove was still pretty warm
Got home and at 4.45 pm raked the ash to fined plenty of coles to my surprise. I threw on some kindling and up it went.
The wood used was hickory... i cant ever remember having coles go this long in my stove and have it relight..
I love my wood heat... nothing like it

awesome. what kind the stove? it is great to have that feeling. I was for ten days off and i was on 24 hrs schedule. temps during the day between 59 to 72 degrees, dropping into low 30s at night. Everytime i turn the air up at night, big chunks still lighting up, I was able to go for 3-4 hrs more with the remaining wood. I was doing we can call it hot reloads. Was nice to get out of bed and go feed the horses and work outside drinking coffee without worry about the damn stove.lol
