Gents - it simply is not that big of deal. There is a difference between coating your cast iron skillet with fat and then seasoning it...or a few drops of oil on paper getting burned (or wax). What about the resins in fatwood? Or the pitch in a pine split? Burn the stove at the proper temps. Inspect. Sweep as needed. No worries.
