Hey everyone just starting this thread to document the install of my parents Vedolux 55 boiler, Teknik 1000 tank, (2) Aqualux 1000 Tanks and a Viking Bio Pellet Burner. I am probably a week or two away from starting the install but the boiler and tanks are sitting in the basement. I can't wait to get started. Brian

I see you have a basic new yorker with storage. Curious if you burned without storage and now you have it, any difference in wood consumption.

I've run it with storage and without. It's just a piece of crap boiler! I will be installing a loading unit this year. Not expecting it to be any better but I will need one when I get a new boiler anyway.

Coal i haven't seen a pellet burner on a varm here yet. I have to plumb the house up first so insulation and drywall can go up, then I can mess around in the boiler room!

I just purchased the Vedolux 30 CU with the Viking Bio head. I am having it installed right now. I am attempting to get the Maine rebate which requires it to be installed by an Efficiency Maine certified installer. I am planning on using the pellets mainly. I'm excited to have it done. I have been researching and watching this site for a couple of years. First time I have posted

Hey everyone, not much to update on the boiler as I've doing all the waste & vent piping, domestic water piping and installing the heat pump systems. Boiler is set in place as are the tanks. The tanks are expensive but give options down the road, like if they want to add solar panels, heat with electric. Piping to start soon, i have a bunch of misc. things to get done for the insulators to finish up and for the drywallers to start next week.

Finally started some piping!

Those tanks are about the only thing i can do because my boiler room is in the middle of my basement and it is all finished off i hope they work out well for him. So i have been running without storage because of the cost.
