Any suggestions on what a fair price to ask for this would be?
Vermont Casting Intrepid pre cat stove excellent shape and new 6" super vent chimney. I have 3 36" supervent class a chimney section and thru the ceiling install kit never used. I bought all this for my old house and never installed any of it I have since moved and now have fireplaces. I believe the stove is a 1988 model but not completely sure has front screen and rear heat shield. I am in WildwoodMO. [Hearth.com] VC Intrepid price?[Hearth.com] VC Intrepid price?

Model number and mfg date should be on the UL label on the back of the stove. It looks to be in nice condition. With the chimney pipe this package could be worth $500-600 to the right buyer.

serial # is 17488

That's the original Intrepid and a nice little stove if in good working condition.

I hate to sell this stove I love the look but wife would prefer an insert.

Sold the one in my avatar for 550$ a week ago. Both me and my wife were reluctant to sell but we have nowhere for it. Plus it was about that much to upgrade ourBK Ashford 25 from black to enameled brown!

This is the right time of the year to sell.

Now I am second guessing my self should I install this on the hearth like in the picture or install my Napoleon 1402 insert?

The Napoleon will be more efficient and have longer burntimes. Seeing it is in the kitchen I advise going with what she prefers unless that is your domain.

Just sold it to a very nice gentleman that works in the fire brick industry

I sold it for $750 advertised it on Facebook for $800 I hade 3 section of new class chimney and new thru the ceiling install kit with it.

Nice! Like begreen said, ‘‘tis the season”. It’s cool you liked the person you sold it to. Mine went to a vacation cabin upstate.

This one was going on a screened in porch on a 100 year old home in Auxvasse Missouri he said he will send a picture when he installs it.
