Wood burners who think the climate change fanatics won’t go after wood burners are like LGBQT’s who think Islamists will embrace their lifestyle when they’re in charge
I'm sorry but did you even read the article? There is allot of talk about using more efficient cleaner burning appliances and only harvesting dead wood. Most of us do that anyway.

It's well known that fireplaces are dirty burners. They are a primary cause of air pollution during temperature inversions. The author makes some good points, but writes in a somewhat confused jumble. A good editor would have required the author to complete one thought before hopping to another. The pellet stove paragraph should have directly followed the wood stove paragraph. Hopefully, his endorsing the burning of Duraflame logs will not be assumed ok for wood stove burning.

Wood burning for heat is a lot like hunting to me with respect to reputation.
A subset of practitioners, through apathy, ignorance, and outright malevolence, "poison the waters" for those trying to act responsibly.

I'm curious how long you've been saving this up to deploy in a post? Perhaps you could leave these kinds of comments out of this forum, going forward.
