Good Morning all!

3 sticks of red oak lit off a nice bed of coals from last evenings fire.

Yesterday afternoons hardwood load is still coaling along so I will let that ride for the time being. It’s supposed to warm up to around 45 with rain this afternoon and then low 30s overnight again so I will probably do a dinner time load of hardwoods.

Last nights overnight burn wasn’t my best, but I had just cleaned out the ashes, so I guess that’s not terribly surprising.

Shop was 52 when I got out there, STT and CAT less than 140. I was able to restart it with some of the coals and paper. Right now it’s got a piece of knotted pine and and two pieces of punky mystery wood in it.

House currently at 70. Had barely enough coals left to get this going from the load of cherry early this morning. Down to around 30 tonight. Cold rain currently outside. Had some fun playing Tetris with some big cherry, some oak and ash. Burning nicely so far.

Just fired up the stove after not using it for two days since temps have been mild. Oak and maple. Getting very cold this week low 20’s, teens and 10 on Friday morning.

I have a load of spruce and hardwoods topped with some bark kicking off now, will reload with all hardwoods before work tomorrow am

17 degrees and rising slightly overnight tonight. Bottom drops out tomorrow night with sub zero actual temperatures (about -6). Let it cool off after the morning pine and aspen load, cleaned the glass and removed some ash, another pine and aspen load going and should get me to the overnight load.

Notice I only post photos after I clean the glass 😉.
