Turned our heat pumps off around 4:30 today and covered them to protect from all the ice they are predicting. We are in the 1/2 to 3/4 inches of ice. Got the stove going at the same time we turned off heat pumps. Currently the area where our thermostat is is 72. Kitchen is 69. I am shocked our lower level is staying at 66. I put a fan blowing up the stairs so I do not know if that is helping.

Current outside temp is 19 with 12 real feel. So far we haven't had crazy wind. There is a glaze of ice all over everything and its building as heavier stuff moves in. I am hoping we get less than predicted so we don’t lose power.

I guess I didn’t post last nights load, I have the air turned up and the coal bed is pumping. Single digits last night I had the fan on 2/4 and the stat at 3:15. House is nice and toasty. A little bit of a warm up today (20s) with over a foot of snow coming starting around 9 supposedly. ☕️ time

Had the blower set to medium with the air a little open last night, which is more than I normally do. House still down to thermostat setting heat did not cycle yet in main rooms). 6 feels like -8. Another full load of beech, sugar maple and oak plus 1 small split of mulberry. A couple of cut offs to fill gaps.

1 to 2 feet of snow incoming…
