That sucks!! Hopefully you come up with the cash in the next few weeks!!The Dragon lays dormant with no feed in the lair.
She won't be feasting until the chimney is relined. Currently no coin available for that endeavor.

Although I enjoy sawing, splitting , burning, and saving on fuel bills, I'd prefer summer lasting longer. ..it's good to be back!!
I hear ya! Seems even shorter when you're living in the hills. I'm at about 1500' in elevation. At least I'm not up by the @thewoodlands homestead. He's got elevation and the cold of the north.Although I enjoy sawing, splitting , burning, and saving on fuel bills, I'd prefer summer lasting longer. ..![]()
Working on that. We lightened our "luggage" that was sipping funds and driving up the utilities. That sucks!! Hopefully you come up with the cash in the next few weeks!!
I would say this time is perfect for me right now, as we move into the colder months where I am I agree with you! Although I get to try out my new gas furnace this winter so that might make me a bit biased.Although I enjoy sawing, splitting , burning, and saving on fuel bills, I'd prefer summer lasting longer. ..![]()
That is one cool looking stove 👍🏼Season light off. Later than usual this year. Got to 37F. Threw some oak splits in let her rip. New probe thermometer works great, it's good to be back!!
Your draft will increase with the colder temps.I really just wanted to take draft readings to see if I needed another section of pipe. got down to around 40 last night.
Yes I know but I was suspecting a weak draft last year (but never tested it) since with all my elbows and tee I’m borderline on the minimum height chimney wise for my stove per BK so just wanted to be sure so I could order another section before it got cold if I needed it.Your draft will increase with the colder temps.
I forget what stove are you running? A liberty? And how many cords do you average a year. I’m assuming a decent amount since your season starts much earlier than oursWe had a few shoulder season fires last night that had the temp up here at 71. It was 39.5 this morning, no fire but I did run the furnace for 8 minutes. The temp up here this morning was 67.
