We bottomed out at 26.8 this morning, up here was still 66 & 68 in the basement. Two loads of pine were done by noon and the wife added another 3 splits.
Nice setup! Really shows off the Blaze King!A nice Norway Spruce load for the first fire of the season, a couple pics also. First is the last, last time I will see the BK logo that is 😉 it slowly disappears as the season progresses. No point in cleaning the glass as it lasts about a day.

Woman will never understand a man’s need to play with fire lolNothing! It was 28 yesterday morning and I made some kindling. Had to head off to work and PT, got home it was 60! Just not fair. Wife says "just wait until we move to the new house and have the new KE40. Not happening! Next cold snap, the match is going to get struck.
Very dense, coals forever... Probably better off with a couple sticks mixed with other stuff, but you do you.Gonna split and stack this ironwood off to the side, so I can burn it for a couple days exclusively. Excited to see what it’s capable of, in a year or two of course.
Hopefully you can get it finished up before the really cold weather sets inWhat's in the Dragon's belly? Still a small load of last season's ashes. Have had some cold evenings.....heated the rooms we are occupying with a couple LP space heaters.
Tearing out the old liner and rebuilding the top of the chimney. Combination of reconstructing a couple top courses, adding a couple courses, and some repointing.
Still no coin for the liner yet. I'll probably be forced to buy the cheap crap. Corrugated junk.Hopefully you can get it finished up before the really cold weather sets in
Meh. I mean it still works fine assuming you insulate it you shouldn’t have any problems for getting plenty of years out of itStill no coin for the liner yet. I'll probably be forced to buy the cheap crap. Corrugated junk.
Gonna need that wood furnace eating..... is what it is.
No room for insulation. Leaving the clay liner for easier termination, along with what's in the budget.Meh. I mean it still works fine assuming you insulate it you shouldn’t have any problems for getting plenty of years out of it
