The Jotul tl50 and all of the Harmans. Am I missing any? Any Harman or Rangely owners here to give first hand impressions?

I have the Oslo 500 but before that I had a top loading VC.resolute. Top loading feature is easier the place logs then front load and side load IMHO.

Your response has absolutely nothing to do with the OP's question. They are asking what other stoves have grill inserts, and about how well they work in the Harmans and Jotuls.

True, but it's not a big deal to me. As long as a response isn't offensive or useless I'm OK with it. Thanks for keeping the thread on track though.

I received your email. What's the problem? So I made a comment. Big deal, Just trying to fit in with everybody. No, don't have a grill insert.

We loose power on a regular basis and I can honestly say I love our stove for that reason. We can grill, cook like a stove top, use the inside like an oven and use the tea pot. It is hands down the nicest stove we have ever owned ! We owned the tl300 and found it to be very hard to operate but the grill option was very nice.

I have used the grilling insert a few times and I really enjoy it, If you are cooking for more than three adults it might be a stretch space wise tho.

Not having a grill during a power outage is no biggee. Not being able to cook? Now that would be a big deal. No booze would be terms for desertion! ::-)

But I'm tickled to hear these setups work well. I have to admit to some skepticism at first.
