Did some more splitting the hickory, oak, and locust. Nice day, mid 20's no wind. After I finished the 2 long 40 ft rows , took a break and added up 584 ft of c/s/s 5 ft high of soon to be "prime brown gold". I haven't figured out how many cords yet, to tired! Lol.....still have 2 plus years in the barn , so I should be good for awhile.

With normal radial & tangential shrinkage on drying, expect to lose about 10% on the stacked wood volume.

So, instead of 500 cords, you'd have about 450. Boo-hoo.
