I know the answer. But, it's fun to see you all debate it.
 
Looks like you took that picture on my lawn. Same weeds.
Shelbark hickory, I'll say it cause Ive never seen it. I read in some history/trivia book there is one type of hickory that is superior to all the others for smoking meat. And it was either Shelbark, or Bitternut.
I say Shelbark because the heartwood seems a little light for Shagbark.
So what do you think?
Are you gonna smoke with any of it?

Dang Apple you are all over it! I was gonna let people guess awhile. I would have taken shag bark but shelbark is the most accurate. My smoker wood rack is full of this and cherry. Some of the hickory is going to get burned in the stove if anyone lives close and wants some of this hickory for you smoker let me know. I'll give it to you

First one must have been easy. I was even going to say hickory, and have very little experience with it.
