Could you help ID these two. Both have been down since summer. Easy job cause it’s right behind the house.

The pic with your dogie looks like walnut. Not sure about the second tree ash or elm???? I dont see many of them and have none on my property that i know of but the first is walnut.
 
I wouldnt think twice about it. Walnut is around 20 million btu and american elm is around 18 from the chart i just looked at. Looks like easy cuttin too.
 
Black walnut on the first two. It is good firewood, I have a truck load of it in my driveway right now.
Easy to split. It is beautiful wood. This wood is prized for gun stocks, and furniture.
It is not as good as oak, and it is better than pine or poplar.

I have burned lots of it.

If you know someone with a saw mill, you could make some tables from those walnut logs.
