A cord of "seasoned hardwood" is advertised for $150 - $300 in the northern suburbs of NYC. The last time I bought, I paid $150 for a pretty green cord in 2007.
 
Just paid $270 for a cut, split and delivered cord from a tree service that season's their wood on asphalt. I was told it was mixed hardwood.
